Britney's Dance Beat: Textures

These images are from the final hair and make-up approval sheets.  I was given some photos from a recent magazine  shoot (Seventeen) for make-up and hair reference. With that in hand I went to work creating textures for the face and hair. Once I had finished her facial textures and applied them to the model, we again submitted renders to Britney's management team. They asked for a change of the hair color which was  more of a platinum color than these renders show. Once her management team was happy, they were submitted to Britney.  To my relief, she liked them didn't want any changes. I have to say that her managers knew exactly what she liked and they helped us out a great deal in getting everything ready to present to Britney.

This early model sheet shows the hair configuration. I found Shag:Hair to be very capable of creating realistic looking hair. At this point the bodysuit textures are not finished, though the foundation fresnel effects were tested in these renders. At this point all of the workflow is centered around Max and Photoshop. All models are brought into Max from the Mirai model set via .obj conversion.

These are thumbnails of the facial UV unwrap generated by Texporter, a freeware plug-in for Max, and the facial color map. A Bump, and  Specular maps are used as well as a falloff color map that was created from the base color map by using the ColorCorrect plug-in.
